DAY 3 --- SRI MAHALAKSHMI DEVI




She is the Goddess of wealth, prosperity, wisdom and fortune. Goddess Maha lakshmi is believed to protect her devotees from all kinds of money related sorrows. She is the daughter of the king of milky ocean, and later married to Lord Vishnu. She is a form of Shakti.

Goddess Lakshmi is described as a fair lady with four arms, standing upon lotus, dressed in fine garments and precious jewels and holding lotus flowers in her two hands. She appears in 8 forms and is well known as Asta Lakshmi. Maha lakshmi devi is especially worshiped on Fridays and Diwali festival day with red color flowers. She is offered prasadams like Ksheeraannm and poornalu. Mahalakshmi is famous for her DHAIRA quality, she did play a vital role in MAHISHASURA mardhanam. She is greatly praised and her significance is given in details in SRI SUKTAM and LAKSHMI TANTRA. Satya lakshmi, Bhoga Lakshmi, Rajya Lakshmi, Yoga Lakshmi, Vidya Lakshmi, Soubhagya Lakshmi, Amrutha Lakshmi, Kamya Lakshmi are the main Avataras of DEVI besides the famous ASTA LAKSHMI avatarams.

DAY 2 -- SRI GAYATHRI DEVI ALANKARAM



Aaswayuja Suddha Vidiya Sri Gayathri Devi Alankarana of Navarathri DEVI is decorated as GAYATHRI DEVI, the Pranava Swaroopini, who is the source of NADA, She is the soource of Sakala mantras, and she is the source of all vedas. She is the adhidevathaof Gayatri mantra and the sandhya vandana.


On this day Goddess Gayatri one of the form of maa durga is worshiped by her devotees. Goddess Gayatri is considered the Veda mata, The mother of Vedas. Vedas are large body of texts, composed in Vedic Sanskrit and they form the oldest layer of Sanskrit Literature, and the oldest sacred text of Hinduism, Goddess Gayatri is the mother of the Vedas.


 The goddess often sits on a red lotus flower and appears with five heads and five pairs of hands and representing the incarnations of the Goddess as parvati, saraswati and she is especially identified with saraswati. Nimmakaya (lemon) pulihora is offered as a prasadam.

DAY 1 ------- Kanaka Durga Ammavaru Decorated as BALATRIPURA SUNDARI.




Bala means small child. On this day small kids between 2 -10 years will be given new cloths and also some gifts.

Payasam is offered today as prasadam.

Balatripura is the first goddess in the Tripura traya and she is the main goddess of all in the sriyantra.


Without having got the mantra of bala one is not eligible to perform the sri yantra pooja. In the first amnaya of srichakra bala resides, so without worshiping bala one cannot perform pooja to sridevi. Kanaka durga is decorated as Bala as SRI ADI SHANKARA, has established srichakra here and so to beget the anugraha of bala she is decorated as bala and one has to definitely see her beauty in this alankaram.
